PDF Highlighting

Hi, I noticed that it is possible to highlight-code some PDFs and others not. Surely those that represent only an image of an article are not 'highlightable'. Is there a way/tool to convert PDFs accordingly? Thanks. Peter

Hello Peter,

I know of an EPPI-Reviewer user that has been using the OCR (optical character recognition) functions in Adobe ExportPDF. They had a similar problem with pdfs that were scanned images (which means they didn't contain textual content). Adobe ExportPDF did a very good job of identifying the text in their document and allowed them to carry out line-by-line coding when they were finished the conversion.

Jeff, Thanks for your hint. That of course solved the problem! I did it in AcrobatPro via VIEW-TOOLS-TEXT-RECOGNITION. Works perfectly fine! Thanks. Peter
