I am trying to convert a Cochrane CENTRAL export text file to a ris file so I can upload it into ER. The file has 21 records and a file size of 11mb. The RIS Export feature will only accept up to 4mb files. How can I convet my file so I can upload it?

Step 1: Select your file
The maximum file size is 4 Meg. Your file is greater than 3 Meg in size.

Hello Karen,

If the file is greater than 4 Meg then you could break it up into smaller files. Any good text editor should allow you to do this.

If you are on a PC a good free text editor is Notepad++ (https://notepad-plus-plus.org/).

I don't have a preferred one if you are on a Mac but I believe there should be a number available.

Best regards,

Jeff
