Hello Gerard,
I tried running your search and saw the same thing you have described. The search result finds 9 items when using the PubMed import but only 8 get transferred to EPPI-Reviewer. The item that isn't getting transferred is 'Child abuse in religiously-affiliated institutions: long-term impact on men's mental health.'
I then tried running a search on that title using the PubMed import and it found the item. But, when I tried to import the item nothing was imported. It appears the problem is specific when using the PubMed import.
It is possible that the webservice (that we use to talk to PubMed) is refusing to hand over the data for that item. We have seen similar situations when searching other databases although that was when using the databases own interface.
It is also possible there is something about that item that is confusing EPPI-Reviewer and stopping it from being imported. I didn't see anything unusual looking in the data for that item in the preview screen (before clicking Import) but what we see in the preview screen and the data PubMed sends when you click Import might be different. We will need to look at this in more detail.
In the meantime you can run your searches on the PubMed site. You just need to save as 'File' and make sure you pick 'Medline' as the format. You will then use the 'PubMed' filter in EPPI-Reviewer. I tested this and all 9 items were imported.
The fact that you can get 9 items using the file method but only 8 using the webservice makes me suspect there might be an issue with that item through the webservice. We will update this thread when we know more.
Best regards,
Jeff
