'View text' for quals coding

i've got one paper which i can't see using the 'view text' button - i just get a blank page. Every other paper in the review (so far) works fine. 'View PDF' and 'Download' work OK for this one, and the PDF isn't copy-protected or anything. I've tried deleting & reuploading to no effect. Odd. Any thoughts?

Hello Theo,

If the 'View PDF' and the 'Download' functions work I suspect the pdf is actually an image rather than a textual pdf.

The other possibility is that the PDF is encrypted. You call tell if it is encrypted by highlighting a section of the pdf's text (while view the pdf in something like Adobe acrobat) and pasting it into a text editor such as Word. If what you paste in looks like gibberish, it is probably encrypted.
