Dear Jeff

following on from Nerys's query, we have continued to attempt to allocate studies for screening at full paper stage. Whilst we are able to select multiple studies using the suggested procedures, allocation of these blocks (or indeed single studies) still doesn't appear to be happening, despite using the procedures outlined in the videos and the user manual.  When the code is queried with the "list items with this code" function it appears blank and attempts to allocate items with the code result in a zero against the reviewer's name. We also attempted a random allocation as a test and this resulted in the same issues.

Hello Fiona,

I just had a quick look at your review and it appears that you have your 'Allocation' codeset setup up for multiple data entry. This means that any item assigned an allocation code will not show up when you 'list items with this code' unless the items coding is marked as 'complete' (wrt to that codeset).

You aren't double coding using the 'allocation' codeset. The allocation codeset is used to identify the items that you wish to double code so it should be set to single data entry. Your screening codeset is the codeset that you will be using for double coding so it should be set for multiple data entry.

What you may want to do is mark all of the items from the Allocation codeset as complete (you can do this in the review statisitics tab) and then change the Allocation codeset back to single data entry. The items with codes applied from that codeset will then be available for setting up your work allocations in the Collaborate tab.

Best regards,

Jeff
