Unfortunately the short answer is "no", there is no other way. The ideal way would be to able to find a document online and have a browser plug-in (or similar utility) to let you save it into EPPI-Reviewer directly, this poses many different problems, including having to support different browsers on different platforms and having to provide some mechanisms to easily match the uploading document to the right reference in EPPI-Reviewer, so we are not planning to add this feature in the foreseeable future.

The only mitigation is that we do try to make it easy for users to locate the full text of items already present in EPPI-Reviewer. In "Document details" there is a "find on web" button that searches the current reference on Google for you. There is also a similar functionality, used to find references cited in the full text, documented in the "Extracting references from uploaded documents" section of the manual.
