I am the only one in my team who can edit a code set, which has comparison data entry. The set appears as locked for others. "Editing code set" has been allowed, and "read only" has been diabled in account manager. Any idea why?

Hi Alex,

 

I am assuming you are referring to your review #11118 (Colposcopy updates). Let me know if I have the wrong review!

I checked and it seemed read only access still applied to your colleagues. (Perhaps the setting to disable "read only" hadn't been saved, or there was a temporary connection outage between your computer and our servers when the change was being made...)

I have set all the accounts with access in the review to "regular access" (apart from yours, which stays as admin).

Can you check your colleagues' access again, and let me know if they can edit?

 

The other potential cause of issues is that codesets can be "locked" to prevent editing. Each codeset will need checking to ensure this is not the case.

I did find some codesets were still "locked" i.e. your team will not be able to edit them...

(Right-clicking on a codeset and selecting Properties should tell you the status of the codeset.)

 

 

It does sound like you had already checked these potential issues, so the only thing I can think of that was causing your colleagues problems was the changes you made not being saved for some reason.

 

Let me know how your colleagues get on with editing codesets, once you have checked these settings.

Hi Zack,

The issue is resolved for one reviewer (I suspect the system just took a little while to update) but not for the other (Julie). All her codes are still locked. We have tried properties/"editing code set allowed?"/save. When clicking "save", the page does not respond, but "cancel" does. We tried logging out and in again but that made no difference. The review is Osteomyelitis 12898.

Hi Alexis,

 

I have just checked and it appears Julie's account has expired (as of 09/02/2018), hence she will not be able to make any changes to the review.

Let me know if you wish to extend her account. Alternatively, you can use the Account Manager (at https://eppi.ioe.ac.uk/cms/Default.aspx?tabid=2935) to check and update user accounts or shared reviews.

(I have extended her account for a few days - until the end of March, just so she can check the functionality available to her with a valid account.)
