I have followed the eppi-reviewer guidance for exporting my references to Endnote but it is not currently working. When I click on the export references button it produces a .txt file (rather than a .ris file?) I save this and then try and import it into Endnote, but none of my references are being transfered over - it does not appear to be opening or compatible?

Do I need to do anything to the .txt file to make it work in Endnote?

Hi Aisha,

References exported directly from EPPI Reviewer 4 should import directly into Endnote with no issues. (The file extension being .txt shouldn't be an issue.)

Just go to the File menu along the top menu bar of Endnote, then select File > Import > File, and browse to your exported file.

Do let us know if you are still having problems and we can take a look for you. You can email the exported file to us at EPPISupport@ucl.ac.uk or just let us know the relevant review.

Kind regards,

Zak Ghouze
