Hi, I've been trying to log on to the ER4 interface but the screen goes white. It shows the loading 0 % icon for a brief moment and then goes white. I've not had problems logging in when using this computer previously. What do you think the problem is?

Dear Bukola,

What you describe is new to us, and it suggests that you are unable to download the application altogether. To be more precise: the Silverlight plugin loads (this is the environment where EPPI-Reviewer will run) and tries to download the application itself from our servers. The % loading phase (white page with animated circling dots) is supposed to show the download progress, if it doesn’t move above zero and then disappears, the download phase is clearly failing for some reason. First thing to do would be to try clearing your browser cache (instructions) and to check that you can run other Silverlight applications (samples here).

If other Silverlight applications work fine, but clearing your cache did not solve your problem, we will know that you have a specific issue with EPPI-Reviewer. Otherwise we will have to find out what is wrong with your Silverlight installation.

A generic, catch all, solution to try is always to restart your PC and network appliances.

Please do come back to let us know how things proceed on your side, in case your problem is not solved I could need some additional information like:

Are you using a private PC or a computer administered by somebody else (like a client PC of a research institute)? - no need to provide details, all I'd need to know is if you have administrative rights over your computer and network.

What operative system do you have? What browser are you using?

What type of internet connection do you use at the moment? Have you successfully used the same connection With EPPI-Reviewer 4 in the past?

Hoping this helps,

Sergio
