We had set up a review containing ~8000 papers for a group review between two reviewers. Now we have decided that we will split this upto ~4000 each single user review. We changed the exclusion codes property back to single user type. I have completed around 10% of the review and realised that the corresponding codes shows that the 10% of completed reviews are incomplete even after changing the code properties.

Is there way we can change the code properties back? i.e. how we can change it to coding complete by not changing each individual paper as completed by not going through them once again.

looking for pearls of wisdom as usual.

Hello Anoop,

When you say splitting the 8000 papers into single user reviews, do you mean having two separate reviews? In that case you could export 4000 of the items out of your existing review, create a new review and import the 4000 items into the new review. You won’t be able to transfer any coding to the other review.

Or are you referring to the codeset and whether it is set for single or multiple user data entry? Had you been coding with the codeset set for multiple data entry and then changed it to single data entry. In this case, the ‘incomplete’ items would be the coding of the user who was not marked as complete. If two people have coded an item, only one version of the coding gets marked as complete. The other persons coding will remain as incomplete (as it is not being used). Is this what you are describing?

Best regards

Jeff

Just to add that, if you do have thousands of codings to set to 'complete', we can usually do these in bulk here, rather than you needing to go through each individually. (So long as you know which reviewer's coding you want completed.)

James.
