Dear Pauline,

Under the Collaborate tab, you should be able to get a “Quick report” from any comparison you have created using the associated Run button. However, this will not yet give you any results as your co-reviewer has yet to start their screening. Once they have started – even just coding one item, the report will work correctly and you will see your coding answers for these items.

Select the relevant codeset from the list on the right-hand side, and then click Run.

I would recommend watching our two brief videos on normal (single user) and comparison (multiple users) screening / coding modes, available at http://youtu.be/DpZeoSaT5Rg and http://youtu.be/0R221RsX4tY respectively. I would also look at the manual around page 51 onwards for the section on these modes and on completion status (see https://eppi.ic.u/ER4_8_0%20user%20manual.pdf#page=51 for direct link).

(NOTE: The completion status of a reference is separate from the item’s coding record. Hopefully it’ll make sense once you’ve had a quick look at the videos and section in the manual. The other point worth noting is that codesets can be one of 3 specific types – screening, standard or admin (respectively designed for screening references, standard usage – data extraction and the like, or administrative purposes – tracking which references have been allocated to a certain person or group of people etc.) ; remember to set your screening codesets up using the correct type or the more advanced features of the program will not work correctly. Finally, be conscious of the mode your codesets are in – ensure you select Comparison mode if you want multiple people to screen the same items and then compare results. Normal mode will not allow more than one person’s results to be recorded.)
