Hello Mary
If you wish to compare coding one item at a time, you could pull up your search result (so it is displayed in the documents tab), go into the first item (so you are in the Document details window) and click on the Coding record tab (on the upper right had side). In that tab you would select the coders to compare and then click on the ‘Run comparison’ button. A window will pop up with the comparison.
If you wish to step through the items you could run a live comparison (on the same screen). You should click on the ‘Live comparison’ button, then select the codeset you compare (over on the left side of the screen) and all of the coding for the selected codeset will be displayed at the bottom of the screen (on the right). By clicking on next/previous item you can see the coding for each item.
If you wish to have all of the items and all of the coding displayed in one window then you will want to set up a comparison in the collaborate tab. This will first require you to identify the items to compare by assigning a common code to them. You may wish to create a codeset called something like ‘Items to compare’. You could then add a code to this set that has a name related to the group of items to compare. You should then add that code to all of the items.
Now, on the collaborate page you can ‘Create comparison’. You should select the reviewers to compare, the codeset that you want to compare and then under ‘Set attribute (optional)’ select the code that you just created. This means that the system will just look at the items with that code. Once the comparison is created you can click on ‘Quick report’ and all of the items and how they were coded will be displayed.
