Hi Theo,
About the upload problems:
yes, I can see the trace of a failed upload attempt from this morning. We've had one or two people complaining about horribly slow upload issues. And as you say, it looks like it's something about the location or specific computer, and confirms my initial impression: it seems a networking issue and it's likely that there is little for me to work on. We had much bigger problems in the very early beta stages and resorted to use a commercial "upload" component for Silverlight. This solved our old problems and created the new one you've experienced: if for some reason the upload is very slow, there is no obvious way to cancel and try again. I might be able to do something here but I can't promise!
Download:
This is the first report I've had about this, but it is probably less important as I'm already writing a brand new system to handle downloads. Some of it should be ready for the next update, but since it is in an early development stage we haven’t decided a publish date yet.
In any case, could you give me some more details? I'd like to know if you are using Firefox or another browser and at what stage the Silverlight component crashes: it's a very surprising behaviour as the original document is shown outside Silverlight.
In short: I'll look into it but I'm not guaranteed to get fantastic results.
All the best and thanks for letting us know!
Sergio
