Hello,

I think some other users have had this issue recently, but i'm not sure what the answer was. I've just got a new computer (Mac OS X 10.8.4) and I can log in OK and see the list of reviews, but when I click on one (any one) I get:

[CrossDomainError]
Arguments: http://eppi.ioe.ac.uk/EPPIReviewer4/WcfPortal.svc
Debugging resource strings are unavailable. Often the key and arguments provide sufficient information to diagnose the problem. See http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=106663&Version=5.1.20913.00&File=System.ServiceModel.dll&Key=CrossDomainError

I can log in fine from other computers, but keep getting the same message on this one (same on Firefox or Safari). Any thoughts?

Many thanks

Theo

Are you trying to access EPPI-reviewer via an encrypted connection?

You can see this from the url: if it’s https://eppi.ioe.ac.uk/eppireviewer4/, you are using the encrypted version and this will not work.
The correct url is http://eppi.ioe.ac.uk/eppireviewer4/ the only difference being the missing “s” in “http”.
This happens because EPPI-Reviewer is designed to work through its specific URL and handle the communication encryption as needed. Specifically: it compresses all traffic, and encrypts only the authentication stage, so not to send your username and password in clear text over the Internet (where they could be intercepted).

I hope this helps,

Sergio
