There isn't a method to do this automatically but there is a reference search function that will extract the references out of your uploaded studies. If you 'Go' into a study that has an uploaded paper you will see a 'Reference search' tab. In this tab you will find functions to help extract and separate the references that are in your uploaded paper.

You will still need to visually compare the references in the studies to those already in EPPI-Reviewer but you will at least have the textual data to work with.

You can find details about this in the user manual under 'Extracting references from uploaded documents' (page 25). There is also on-screen help in the 'Reference search' tab.
