Good morning,

We have a very big number of references manually exported from databases with no export facilities into excel files.

Now we have to import these references into EPPI - Reviewer. Is there a way this can be done automatically and we can avoid importing them manually?

Hello Dafni,

For importing you need to have your search results in some type of tagged format so each piece of information is clearly identified by a tag as to what field it is. An excel spread sheet won't provide this.

Are we talking about a lot of items (hundreds)? I have been able to generate a tag file from an excel file using a text editor and some complicated 'search and replace' in the past. If you would like to send the excel file to eppisupport@ioe.ac.uk I can have a look at it to see what might be possible.

If you only have a few items then it will be quicker to enter them by hand.
