Hi, I have managed to convert my Endnote file to an RIS file and uploaded it into the RIS Exporter. However, while I am able to match most fields using the Endnote 3 RIS file from the list, the publication name is missing even though in the original Refworks RIS file has this included as T2. Please advise how I can rectify this issue as I don't want to mess around manually typing in over 3,000 journal names. Also, I am unable to open the online manual for some reason which is proving very frustrating. Many thanks in advance, Hellen

Hello Hellen,

The purpose of the RIS EXPORT utility is to convert your search results into an RIS formatted text file. You already have an RIS formatted text file so there is no need to use the RIS EXPORT utility. You can import your file directly into EPPI-Reviewer. You just need to select the RIS filter when you are in the 'Add/Manage sources' window.

As for the manual, I just tried accessing it and it opened without issue. If the problem is with your browser opening the file can you try saving it to your computer (by right-clicking the link) and then opening the file with a pdf reader such as Adobe reader or Foxit reader.

Best regards,

Jeff Brunton

Hi Jeff,

The importing works a treat.

Unfortunately, I am still not able to access the manual either through Internet Explorer through the university or through Google Chrome on my laptop. Would you kindly provide the manual via other means for me please as I am trying to understand how to use the package with little instruction.

Many thanks,

Hello Holly,

I'm not sure why you are having difficulty accessing the manual but I have sent it to the email address associated with your EPPI-Reviewer user account.

The manual is quite large (9 Mbytes) so hopefully your email system will accept it.

Best regards,

Jeff
