The data extraction tool

Hello,

I wonder if there's an easy way to put my data extraction tools into PDF documents (or similar)? I set them up in EPPI-Reviewer 4 and would now like to use them as appendices to the final report. It would be great if I didn't have to type it all up again.

Hello Kristin,

The way to do this is to get the coding tool into Word and then save it as a pdf file.

If you right-click the coding tool in the 'Codes' tab and select 'Print' the coding tool will be listed in the 'Report Viewer' window. Using the menu in the 'Report viewer' select Edit -> Select all. Next, right click the selected text and click 'paragraph'. In the paragraph window that will pop up change the 'After' field to 0 (this will give nicer formatting) and then click OK. Now save the file (File -> Save as...) as an rtf file.

Next, open the saved file in Word. To fix the formatting select all the text in the tool and click on the bullets icon on the Word toolbar. You can decide to have an unnumbered list or use the numbered list.

Now save as a pdf (using the 'Save as...' function in Word).
