I am finding it difficult to allocate batches of documents for screening.

First for the complete list of document I seem to have to tick individial items, when I want to select a block of around 50 items - using the shift or control key does not help me select blocks. What is the correct method?

When I do have a few records selected and select assign to this code nothing seems to happen - when I then select 'list items with this code' the list is empty. What am I doing wrong?

Also I noticed other correspondence about not being able to delete child codes. I have found that I just get an error message. I have only suceeded in deleting child codes by deleting the top level one and all child codes within it

Thank you

Nerys

Hello Nerys,

It is possible to select a batch of items from the documents tab using shift or control. If you select an item and then hold down shift or Crtl you can select multiple items.

You can also select all of the items on the page by clicking on the checkbox above the checkbox column. You can then change the number of items displayed in a page so if you change the page size to 50 and select all items by clicking on the checkbox, you can select all of you items in one go.  To change the page size click on the 'Select the fields you want to display below' icon. In the 'Select fields to display window' you can change the default page size from 700 to 50.

If you are applying a code to the items and the codeset that contains that code is set for multiple data entry (i.e. double coding) then the coding will not show up when you use the 'list items with this code' function if the coding has not been 'completed' yet. An items coding must be 'completed' before it is available to the programs searching and reporting functions. If you are double coding the items you probably want to create work assignments for the two coders (assigning the same items to both people). Once each person has coded their items you can run a 'Create comparison', 'complete' the  agreements and reconcile and 'complete' the disagreements. Once the items are 'complete' they will show up in searching and reporting functions.

As for not being able to complete the code, we have been looking into this. I believe we have found that the code is being deleted but an error message is still coming up on the screen. If you reload your review (from the 'My info' tab) after the error message appears is the code still there? If you let us know which code it is we can have a look at it.

Best regards,

Jeff
