Hello,

Is there a way to complete codes for a set of items by batches?

Thanks,

Carla

Hello Carla,

You can bulk complete codes in a couple of different ways. I'm assuming you are talking about  items that have been double coded.

In the collaborate tab you can run a comparison between two coders. If you View stats for that comparison you have the option of bulk completing all of the agreements (by clicking on the 'Complete' button). This method is often used when you have been screening items (applying inclusion or exclusion criteria).

Another way to bulk complete coding is in the review statistics tab (bottom right hand side of the screen). In this tab you will see two tables; Completed coding and Incomplete coding. If you expand a codeset in the 'Incomplete coding' you will see the name of each person who has been applying codes using that set and the number of items they have coded. To the right of the number is a green check. If you click on that check then all of the items that person has coded, with that codeset, that are presently not complete, will be marked as 'complete' and that persons coding will become the completed version. You must be careful when bulk completing items in this fashion as you are saying that persons coding is the correct/ageed version.

Just as you can bulk 'complete' items this way, you can also bulk 'uncomplete' items in the 'Completed coding' table (found just above the 'Incomplete coding' table).

Best regards,

Jeff
