Please disregard this question, I have figured out how to handle it. I have not deleted it case others might find the question and/or the answer useful - I'll leave that decision to you. Thanks. - Ali

Hello,

First, I apologize if this question is answered in the manual. I have been having trouble downloading it recently (for some reason it doesn't load properly).

We recently opened another review in our EPPI account ('BCATPR Yes'), with the idea of importing a manageable sub-set of documents from our original review ('BCATPR Master').  I've imported about sixty documents that were classified as 'Extremely Relevant'. Before going any further, I wanted to ask if there was any way of importing some of the coding as well (not all of it, but perhaps the chronic disease child codes). Is this possible and, if so, how would one go about it?

Second question: If it is not possible to import coding, is it possible to assign a code to a selection of documents? We know that it's possible to randomly assign two or more codes to a set of documents, but are interested in giving all items within a select group the same code.

Thanks,

Ali

Hello Ali,

I'll answer the question for the sake of other users.

Although you cannot assign a code at the time of importing there is a way of getting the same result.

If all of items that you want to apply the code to are in the same imported source you can bulk assign a code. First you should list the items in the source by clicking on 'List' in the Sources tab for that source. Then you can select all of the items in the Documents tab by clicking the checkbox at the top of the list. Once they are selected go over to the code you want to apply (in the Codes tab), right click the code and select 'Assign selected items to this code'. All the the selected items will be assigned that code.

Best regards,

Jeff
