Hello,

I would like to ask whether the line by line coding is exported in the RIS document and whether it will be easily read by other reference managers? Many thanks.

Best,

Yue

Dear Yue,

Unfortunately, line by line coding is not part of the RIS file format.

("RIS is a standardised tag format developed by Research Information Systems, Incorporated to enable bibliographic citation programs to exchange data, and is supported by a number of reference managers. RIS files contains a series of lines delimited by two-character codes and a corresponding value, usually saved in an ASCII text format. RIS files provide information such as title, author, publication date, keywords, publisher, issue number, and start and end page.")

However, if you are working on a review with others within EPPI Reviewer, you will be able to see and update each others' line by line coding. (See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbAgKgJiOcc.)

Kind regards,

Zak Ghouze
