I have managed to allocate all items to one user in my review. However, I now want to select a random sample of 20% of the files on which I want to test my exclusion/inclusion criteria. How can one generate this?

Hello Naira,

You can use the 'Assign documents to specified codes randomly' function to create a random sample of 20%. This is the icon shaped like a hand in the documents tab.

With this function you specify the codes to choose from, where to place the code that identifies your sample, the percentage of items you want to collect and the number of groups you want that percentage to be split into. The minimum number of groups you can create is 2 so if you want one group of 20% you should select a sample of 40% to spread over 2 groups.

You will find details on this function in the user manual under 'Random allocation' (pg 42).

Best regards,

Jeff
