Hello,

We are reviewing abstracts in duplicate for our review (5810), and I have marked it for duplicate data entry and assigned both reviewers the abstracts.

I am trying to review the abstracts that my second reviewer (3646) has already started. I am running into a problem here because they are already coded with her selection and I am unable to make my own. I tried cancelling the assignments and doing it all over again, but this did not help.

Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Kirsten,

This sounds like the items coded by your colleague have already been marked as 'complete' with respect to the screening tool. Is it possible that the second reviewer coded the items when the coding tool was set for 'normal' entry (as opposed to 'comparison' data entry)?

Changing the coding tool to 'comparison' data entry will not change the 'complete' / 'not complete' status of items that have already been coded. It will only affect the coding of subsequent items. The items that have already been coded will need to be changed to 'not complete' manually if you wish to double code them. This can be done on an item-by-item basis in the 'Document details' window or in bulk in the 'Review statistics' tab where you can select the person who's coding you wish to 'uncomplete' and then click on the red disc next to their name to 'uncomplete' their coding.

If this does not explain what you are seeing please let us know.

Best regards,

Jeff
