I'm not sure if I understand your question. Screening items based on title and abstract is a common step when carrying out a systematic review.  In EPPI-Reviewer we will normally create a screening tool and call it 'Screen on title and abstract'. If you look at the example review that was placed under your account (when you created your user account) you will see such a tool. As well, if you look at the video on our YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/eppireviewer4)  titled 'Screening Part 1' it will use screening on title and abstract as an example.

As for how to do it, you would need to read the title and abstract and then select the appropriate exclusion or inclusion codes that would best apply.
