Hello,

My colleague and I are trying to use the multi-user function. He has already started the coding (using single-user), but when I change the option to multi-user, I am just able to see his codes instead of the blank set of options for me to use.

Is there a way to make the multi-user function work or do I need to just create a duplicate code set?

Thanks for your help,

Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth,

This is the expected behaviour. To be able to add your own (private) codes, you will need to "uncomplete" the work done by your colleague. There are two ways of doing so, a fast one that uncompletes the whole coding of a given person for a code-set and the manual one, where one needs to uncomplete each item manually.

First route: from the main "documents" screen, please activate the "Review Statistics" tab (lower right corner). On the "Completed coding" table, expand the code-set that you want to use, and then click on the red "no entry" sign on the right of the reviewer name, this will open up a dialog that allows to uncomplete the whole batch in one go.

Alternatively, the slow/manual route would be:
Instead of clicking the
"no entry" sign on the right of the reviewer name, click the number on the "count" column. This will send you to the list of items already completed by your collaborator. Open up the first, right click the code set and choose properties. Untick the "Coding completed" check-box and click save. Proceed as before for all items in the list.

I hope this helps,

Sergio
