DRIVES

See Unit Policy

DRIVES

Computers are often shared amongst part time staff.

Staff should save work onto their personal N drive or shared project drives, as these are backed up at the end of each day, but not the C drive.

The R drive is a Unit-wide drive.

The content of all drives should be considered confidential and not shared externally without permission of the author and project director. The R drive funding folder is particularly sensitive and should be treated as strictly confidential.

Computers should be logged off but left on overnight as the Institute’s Computing Department use this time to load anti-virus software over the network.

Please delete emails and files that are no longer required as these take up much space on the Unit's servers.
