This evidence map presents the data extracted from 1383 observational studies in psychosis research. We carried out this evidence map to understand what factors had been measured and associated with cognitive outcomes in samples with schizophrenia spectrum disorders.
We carried out a systematic search of relevant databases and screened records against a predefined eligibility criteria. We extracted data relevant to the studies (methodologies, sample sizes), the factors (e.g., gut microbiome, antipsychotic dosages, and metabolic syndrome), and cognitive outcomes (e.g., executive function and short-term memory).
Below, you can access all of the extracted data.
This work is part of the Global Alliance for Living Evidence on aNxiety, depressiOn, and pSychosis (GALENOS) project. The GALENOS project is funded by the Wellcome Trust and is a global, multidisciplinary consortium aimed at co-producing a continuously updated synthesis of the scientific literature on mental health.

This is an open-science project and we welcome contributions and feedback. If you have any comments or queries regarding included studies, our extracted data, or may be aware of missing studies, then please feel free to contact the lead researcher: Claire Friedrich, claire.friedrich@psych.ox.ac.uk
