This map explores what works to improve health and care outcomes for the following inclusion health groups: homeless populations, Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities, street-based sex workers, domestic abuse victims, asylum seekers, migrants or refugees, people with drug or alcohol dependence, and people who experience disability. The picture painted here is one of patchy evidence; gaps are clearly seen for Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities and for those experiencing disability. It is essential that research focuses on what works to reduce inequalities for these underserved groups, so that evidence-informed strategies can be implemented. However, there is a wealth of evidence for reducing unequal health and care outcomes for asylum seekers, migrants and refugees, and this should be used to inform equity-focused interventions for these population groups.
