Staff development commitments within SSRU currently include: annual training for line managers and an annual Away Day.

Project related staff development and communication of results at conferences should be budgeted for by projects. In some cases, this is not possible and the Unit will consider applications for funding support. Applications need to have approval of line managers and directors of all affected projects and be signed by the line manager. It is advisable to discuss such applications as soon as possible with all concerned and well before submitting abstracts for presentation at conferences. The application form is available here. Completed forms should be passed to a member of UMC.
