The EPPI Centre’s involvement in crime research has grown since we became partners in the ESRC and College of Policing funded ‘What Works: Commissioned Partnership Programme’. This project, led by the UCL Department of Security and Crime Science, provided support in evidence synthesis and evidence use to the What Works Centre in Crime based at the College of Policing.
 

Meta-analysis, Complexity and Heterogeneity (the ‘MACH’ project)

In collaboration with LSHTM and University of York we undertook a qualitative interview study to understand researchers’ methodological values and practices in relation to complexity and heterogeneity when undertaking systematic reviews and meta-analyses.
