Version 4.6.1.0 features a couple of additions, both coming in response to user feedback (much appreciated). Whenever possible, we strive to accommodate user's requests, and always appreciate receiving them, even if we can't implement all suggestions promptly.
New Features:
In the Coding-Only interface, it is now possible to code text from within uploaded PDFs. Previously, this was allowed only via the normal user interface. This change does not apply to the equivalent feature in the "Text Document" tab (which is available for legacy reasons).
New ability to bulk Complete and Un-Complete the coding of specified items. A central feature of EPPI-Reviewer workflow is the control over the Completion status of coding for a given Codeset. When people change their plans, or need to revise/redo a given amount of work, it might be necessary to change the completion status for batches of items. Previously, EPPI-Reviewer allowed to change the coding status of items in bulk, but only based on who owned the coding itself. It is now possible to also change the coding status of items by selecting them on the basis of their unrelated coding elsewhere (in an "all items with this coding" fashion).
This new functionality is accessible via two small buttons (red "no entry" sign or green "v") in the "Review Statistics" tab, headers of the "Completed/Incomplete coding" sections. Since it is something that should be used with extreme care, it requires an intermediate "preview" stage and is available only to users who have the Administrator role in a given review.
Small change: PubMed searches are now performed through an HTTPS connection, following the changes recently applied on the NCBI side.
