I am working through managing my duplicates, and I am having to "mark as master" some files that are listed as duplicates. I want to keep files I have already coded as the masters of the duplicate groups. Some groups are showing more than two files from multiple sources, with one already having been coded. For these groups I am not able to push the "mark as master" button on the previously coded file, nor actually push the "duplicate" or "not a duplicate" buttons either. This is issue seems to have started about 24 hours ago, and is present in Eppi-Reviewer4 and Eppi-Reviewer Web. Would much appreciate advice, especially as I'm still learning the ropes of the program. --Loraine

Glad to hear you resolved these issues, and sorry we didn't get back to you sooner.(You may find it quicker to email our support address eppisupport@ucl.ac.uk if you have a specific query or want assistance with a particular issue. We check that throughout working hours and usually respond within the day. It helps if you can give us your user detail and the specific review name or ID number.)

The duplicate checking system can be a little cumbersome, but we are currently testing a completely new de-duplication system which we hope to release in an EPPI Reviewer update within the next few weeks.

We'd recommend importing all your references first, before checking for duplicates. It can cause additional (unwanted) duplicate groups to be created if importing further items and then running an additional duplicate check (when items are similar but not exactly the same as existing items).
