Can I do it using EPPI-Reviewer?

For example I have two articles, A and B. Article A refers to article B. In this case it is easy to check this reference, but i'd like to do it for 300 articles. Is it possible? Best output will be graph, but data grid will be helpful too.

Hello Pawel,

I'm not sure if I understand what you require. Are you talking about linking papers? For example, paper A (a process evaluation) and paper B (an outcome evaluation) both refer to the same study. You would want link those two papers and only carry out one data extraction. You can link papers in the 'Document details' window (where you will see a tab 'Linked records'). You will also find details on how to do this in the user manual under 'Managing linked records' (pg 33).

Or do you mean something else?

Best regards,

Jeff

Hello Pawel,

I now understand what you asking. You can use the EPPI-Reviewer diagram functions to create the type of relationship diagram that you are describing.  You can find this in the 'Diagrams' tab. In the diagrams screen you can place your codes in the diagram as nodes by right-clicking the code and selecting 'insert in diagram'. You can then connect the nodes with arrows. You can also change the shape, colour and text of the nodes.

If you are carrying out line-by-line pdf coding the diagram utility is a good way of showing the relationships between the descriptive and analytic themes that you have identified. It is also a good way to create review flow (prism) diagrams as any codes inserted in the diagram can display the number of time that code has been assigned.

You can find details on the Diagram function in the user manual under Diagrams (pg 85).

Best regards,

Jeff
