UNIT MEETINGS The Unit Meeting is an advisory meeting to which all staff are invited. Unit Meetings take place approximately quarterly. The last minutes, date of next Unit meeting and current agenda can be found on the internal website. The aim of these meetings is to enable members of the Unit to contribute to the development of unit policy and procedures. The content of this meeting is based on issues that are raised for discussion by Unit staff that relate to the Unit and any aspects of its work and by UMC who identify issues arising from their meetings about which they would like to consult with staff more widely. The co-chairs will ask for agenda items two weeks in advance of the meeting and anyone in the Unit should feel free to make suggestions.

UNIT MEETINGS All staff are expected to attend unit meetings. Staff can raise items for discussion at the meeting via the co-Chairs of the Unit meeting. |

IOE’s staff development programme provides some funding to Units and Schools which can be used to help fund staff Away Days. |
AWAY DAY Every year (funding permitting) the Unit as a whole goes on an Away Day to discuss the role and functioning of the Unit. All staff are required to attend. Reports and information about previous Away Days can be found on the R drive. The EPPI Centre also occasionally holds Away Days for staff working in the EPPI Centre. |
AWAY DAY Staff should be consulted in the development of the Away Day programme. The programme for the Away Day should be discussed at UMC at least 2 months before the date of the Away Day, and the programme agreed at UMC at least 1 month before the event. |
AWAY DAY All staff members are expected to attend the Away Day unless on sick leave or if annual leave booked in advance of dates being confirmed or if ‘retired’ staff except with explicit permission from the Unit Executive Director. |
