Information about catering for events is available from the IoE website.

Catering can only be ordered for meetings involving external representatives. Alcohol cannot normally be purchased for events using IoE / Unit funds, unless you have the permission of IoE's directorate.

On the approval of the Project Director catering can be arranged for meetings. Support for putting out and clearing away catering must be provided from within project staffing.

Administrative procedures are available from the Unit Administrative Officer on:

Tea and Coffee

Kitchen supplies
Coffee Machine
Water coolers

Catering for meetings

Staff wishing to order catering for meetings should first get the approval of their Project Director who is responsible for ensuring sufficient funds are in place.

All catering must be ordered through the Institute caterers (see IoE policy).

Staff can arrange tea, coffee, and filtered water themselves using the unit facilities.

Tea & Coffee

The Unit pays for tea, coffee, milk and sugar for staff at work and visitors at meetings. Ground coffee is provided for use in the coffee machines (best for individual use). Cafetieres are available for use for small meetings. Filtered water is available from the machine in the basement of 18 Woburn Square and the ground floor of 10 Woburn Square. In 18 Woburn Square there is a kitchen in the basement and another on the top floor that is available for anyone to use. In 10 Woburn Square these facilities are in the basement.

Everyone is expected to wash, dry and put away any crockery/cutlery that they or their visitors use.
