ANNUAL LEAVE AND MUST BE COMPLETED BY ALL STAFF
THE
UNIT HANDBOOK PROVIDES EXPLANATIONS ABOUT ALL THE DISTINCTIONS BELOW AND THE
RELATED PROCEDURES
For full
time staff, it is assumed that apart from IoE closure days,
staff are at work in SSRU from 9am-5pm (with flexi time within 1 hour so 8-4 or
10-6). If not working, please state the reasons, such as:

Sick
·
Health appt. (includes: all health appts and ante
natal care)
·
Maternity / paternity leave
·
Study Leave (S/L)
·
Unpaid leave (Time off to care for dependants)
·
Special Leave (includes: Compassionate leave;
Parental leave; Religious leave)
·
Annual Leave (A/L)
·
A/L carried over (from October to December only)
If working but
not at SSRU, please state reason,
general location and contact information if relevant. For example:

Conference / meeting at DoH
·
Data collection in Leeds contactable by mobile
·
Working at home (with line manager approval and
open to contact by telephone)
If part time
staff, either (but please be
consistent):
(i)
Act like full time staff and for not working days
enter: ‘Part Time Non Working Day’ or ‘PT NWD’ or for half days ‘PT NW½D’
(ii)
Only specify when working. Then either:
If at work at SSRU enter: ‘In’
If working but not at SSRU, then enter: ‘PT WD’ and reason not at SSRU and general
location. For example: ‘PT WD Working at home’ or PT WD at BERA conference
