EIPPEE free consultancy service

Supporting research use in policy and practice - FREE evidence-informed support for decision-makers in education in Europe

Are you a policymaker or practitioner taking decisions in education?

Would you like help in finding and using research to address a policy problem or question?

If so, then the evidence-informed consultancy service offered by the European Commission Evidence Informed Policy and Practice in Education in Europe (EIPPEE) project could be for you. We are offering free support to help find and use relevant research to address the specific questions that you are working on. The EIPPEE consultancy service will provide:

  • Tailored support to help clarify an issue or question under concern and help identify and use research to address the policy issue;

  • Access to resources designed to give a basic introduction on how to find, use and understand research including links to further information and guidance;

  • Access to specially developed research summaries; and

  • Signposts to tools and resources to help address problems with implementation as well as monitoring and evaluating outcomes.

The service will provide four workshops, each consisting of a one or two-day face-to-face workshop with additional telephone and email support.

Support will be given by a specialist team with expert knowledge of the issue, experience of working with policy-makers and/or practitioners and where possible, familiarity/knowledge of the specific decision-making context. The team is supported by a wider network of specialists in the area of education from across Europe.

Although it is not possible to give an exact outline of the duration of the support service, clients should be prepared to dedicate at least three-four days work to the service, including time to give and engage with feedback.
